It is both biocompatible and biodegradable which means that it will not harm the body and that it can also be broken down by the body. It is primarily used to fill in gaunt or hollow looking cheeks, caused by aging, weight loss or chronic illness. Sculptra is injected deep below the surface of the skin in the areas where fat loss has occurred. Most people need 3 treatments of 2 vials each. Results are gradual and you can usually see visible changes after your second treatment. Your cheeks will appear fuller and more youthful, your under eye area will lose it “baggy” appearance. Lauren Perrella graduated in 2001 from the Rizzieri Aveda School for Beauty and Wellness with a degree in Aesthetics. Upon graduating, Lauren attended an aesthetics program in Baden, Germany. There she expanded her skin care skills and acquired a European approach to skin care and facial massage. Lauren has also furthered her education by receiving certification in several fields, including: Chinese diagnosis of the skin, and the art of mineral make-up by Colorescience.
